These Chocolate Snowball Crinkle Cookies are rich, fudgy, and dusted with powdered sugar. Ideal for chocolate fans and holiday treats!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar, for rolling

Instructions:

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt

In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar until creamy and well combined

Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter-sugar mixture and beat until smooth

Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined

The dough will be soft

Cover the dough with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour or until firm

Preheat your oven to 350F 175C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper

Take about a tablespoon of dough and roll it into a ball using your hands

Repeat with the remaining dough

Roll each dough ball in powdered sugar until fully coated and place them on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie

Bake the cookies for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are set and the tops have crinkles

Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely

Once cooled, you can roll the cookies in powdered sugar again for an extra snowy look

Enjoy these delicious Chocolate Snowball Crinkle Cookies!
