Ingredients:
- 1 cup hazelnuts
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1 and 1/4 cups granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
Instructions:
Warm the oven up to 175F 350C
Grease a 9-inch tart pan with a bottom that can be taken off
Place hazelnuts on a baking sheet and toast them in an oven that has already been heated for 10 to 12 minutes, or until they smell good and are lightly browned
After letting the hazelnuts cool, rub them between your hands or on a clean kitchen towel to get the skins off
Finely chop the hazelnuts and set them aside
Melt the butter over low heat in a medium-sized saucepan
Once it's cool, add the sugar, cocoa powder, and salt and mix them in well
Add the eggs one at a time, making sure to mix well after each one
Add vanilla extract and stir
Mix in the flour and baking powder until they are just combined
Add chopped hazelnuts and mix well
Spread the batter out evenly in the tart pan that has been prepared
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick stuck in the middle comes out with a few wet crumbs still on it
Let it cool all the way down on a wire rack in the pan before cutting it up and serving it
